I’ll admit it. I’m a huge fan of Amazon. Looking at the variety of books they offer, their customer service, and their sales numbers, it’s easy to see Amazon is a key place for indie authors to make their books available.
Just how hard is it to sell my Kindle book in the Amazon store?
It’s easy. Crazy easy. The hardest part is the formatting, but that’s a topic for another time.
The place you want to go is Kindle Direct Publishing. If you already have an Amazon account, you can use it to log in. Amazon likes to keep it simple!
There are certainly steps to walk through and different options available. And truthfully, when it comes to online sales, changing technologies, and dealing with a large company, things do change from time to time. That’s why I prefer to send you to the source.
Go to the Kindle store and download Amazon’s free e-book, Publish on Amazon Kindle with Kindle Direct Publishing. It walks you through all of the information a self-publishing author needs to know.
If you don’t have a Kindle device, Amazon has a variety of free Kindle Reading Apps available for PC, Mac, smartphones, and tablets.
Don’t wait until you are ready to sell your book to do your research. Make yourself a student of self-publishing now. A better understanding of the process will make the road much smoother.
